Your notes, as plain files.
Slate Outliner is a notes app for documents and outlines stored as markdown files. Every page is a file on your disk, and sync between your devices is encrypted end to end.
One editor, two ways to write.
A page can be either an outline of bullets or an ordinary document. You choose per page.
Open a page in any other editor. Slate only changes what you edit.
Every checkbox is a task.
Tasks live inside your notes. Give one a date or a repeat and it appears in your agenda.
Enabled by default.
Go back to an earlier version.
History keeps earlier versions of your notes on your own device. Compare one with today's and restore it, and name the ones you want kept for good.
One vault, on your desktop and your phone.
Change a note on one and it is there on the other. Notes are encrypted before they leave a device, so no server in between can read them.
Sync and the iPhone app are a closed beta, by invitation.
